REIAoN was part of a Namibian delegation that joined regional leaders, energy experts and investors at the SADC Sustainable Energy Week 2026 held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from February 23 to 27.
The event was organised by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and brought together more than 600 participants. These included ministers, regulators, development finance institutions, private sector representatives and civil society organisations.
Participation by some Namibian representatives, including the REIAoN General Manager Tabby Moyo, was supported by GIZ Namibia.
The five-day conference focused on policy discussions, investment opportunities and technical exchanges related to expanding access to modern and affordable energy in the region.
Zimbabwe’s minister of energy and power development, July Moyo, also called for stronger cooperation among countries in the region. He said regional collaboration can help expand access to clean energy.
REIAoN engaged with regional partners for sustainable energy solutions in Southern Africa. The conference provided an important platform to promote investment, partnerships, and innovation in renewable energy in Southern Africa.
Delegation members also actively participated in panel discussions and networking engagements throughout the conference.
